Our experience with the purchase of our new Tacoma was positive in every way

Our experience with the purchase of our new Tacoma was positive in every way. The service and the friendly matter that we we treated was superior. I would recommend that anyone purchasing a new vehicle go to this dealership.
The lifetime warranty what this dealership offered that made us decide to buy from Hudson instead of from another dealer.

Hudson Toyota my experience was truly great!

In late 2009 I was looking for a used RX350 Lexus. I proceeded to contact Hudson Toyota and spoke with Greg Hudson, the owner who directed me to Rusty Strange and Mike (?) in the sales department. From Mr. Hudson and on thru Mr. Strange and Mike and even on to the warranty dept my experience was truly great! I only wish they were a Lexus dealer. I will definitely contact them when in search of another vehicle. They exemplify excellent customer service and care!!

Hudson Toyota has shown me in many different ways that they appreciate my business.

I have bought my last three new cars from Hudson Toyota; a 2009 Yaris Sedan, a 2010 Corolla S, and a 2011 Camry LE. Mike Smith was my salesman for the last two cars and he is a great guy to deal with.

I have a long history of dealing with the Hudson Toyota Service Department and the Service Manager, Chris Townsend, has always been very good to me. I was having service work done there long before I had ever purchased a vehicle from Hudson. It was because of the great treatment that I had been given by the Service Department and the quality of their work that I was inclined to buy from this dealership when I decided to buy Toyota's (a VERY good decision, by the way).

It is more important to me to buy from a dealership that has an excellent service department and that is staffed with friendly, honest people who truly appreciate my business than it is to buy at the very lowest price down to the penny. I want to know that I will be well treated AFTER the sale.

I like to establish long term relationships with the dealerships where I buy my cars. Since I have become a Toyota buyer, I am very happy to have begun such a relationship with Hudson. They have been extremely good to me and have shown me in many different ways that they appreciate my business.

Toyota: Prius exhaust less harmful than sheep emissions

Toyota Prius fart advertisement
Toyota Prius versus sheep - Click above to enlarge

The flatus of the Toyota Prius is less harmful than the flatus of a sheep. Who knew? Apparently, Toyota's Israeli arm, that's who.

As you can see from the advertisement above, the methane gas produced by livestock can indeed be worse for the environment (animal gas, including that from humans, is in fact a greenhouse gas) than the emissions from the ass end of an automobile, depending on what you're trying to define - and that goes for any automobile, not just one that's as popular in squeaky clean circles as the Prius hybrid.

We think this is a pretty funny and effective ad, though something tells us it might never see the light of day in the United States. Sadly.

2011 Toyota Highlander Hybrid

It's time for a mid-life makeover, and the 2011 Toyota Highlander Hybrid is going in for tweaks under the hood as well as on them. For the new model year, the Hybrid version of Toyota's big, somewhat bulky crossover wears the new hood and fenders that the gas-only Highlander gains. The new look shares some common themes with the surprise-hit Venza...

2011 Toyota Venza

The Basics: In Toyota's well-stocked lineup, the 2011 Toyota Venza slots in between the base five-seat RAV4 and the more bloated Highlander seven-seater; while the RAV4 and Venza have three rows of seating, the Venza has two rows and seats five. With a smooth, hatchback-style silhouette that's softer and lower than most crossovers, and subtle...

Automotive Is Second-Most Trusted Industry On The Planet

If any of the world's automakers have a dose of the Monday blues, here's a little something to cheer them up: a new survey from research firm Edelman shows that the auto industry is the second-most trusted in the world, just behind the technology sector. And while that may sound surprising, given all the hullabaloo surrounding players like General...

Rumormill: Toyota FT-86 could get hybrid option

Toyota FT-86 Concept

Toyota may have a few more changes in store for the FT-86. The company recently unveiled a second swipe at the car's exterior at the Geneva Motor Show, but from the sounds of things, a new front fascia won't be the only surprise when the car touches down. Auto Express is reporting that the Japanese automaker is open to the possibility of a hybrid FT-86 at some point in the distant future. The company's engineers specifically reworked the vehicle's front fascia and windshield to be more aerodynamic - a trait that would be more than handy on a hybridized version of the vehicle.

As of right now, though, the FT-86 is supposed to arrive with a Subaru-sourced powerplant under its swooping hood. There's some indication that the production version of the vehicle will debut later this year at the Tokyo Motor Show, and that Subaru will yank the sheets back on its own version of coupe at the same time. We're guessing that all of drivetrain and styling questions will be answered as we get closer to that event.

Toyota: It's Our Responsibility To Address Hybrid, Plug-In Confusion

Hybrids such as the Toyota Prius have now been offered for more than a decade. Yet as we learned from a study revealed just this past week, a surprisingly high percentage of new-car shoppers don't really know how hybrids work—or what makes plug-in hybrids or battery-electric vehicles different. That said, as part of California's ZEV (Zero...

2012 Toyota Prius Plug-In: By The Numbers, Would It Work For You?

Over six days of driving—limited to around-town trips—we put about 103 miles on a fleet-test Toyota Prius Plug-In, averaging 90.8 miles per gallon. In that time, we gave the Prius Plug-In five full charges and two partial ones, and according to the trip computer, we covered 77.7 miles in EV mode. As we've reported in prior driving...

2012 Toyota Prius Plug-In: Driven

When the Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid goes on sale about this time next year, it will be the first mass-production vehicle from Toyota that plugs in. Yet, despite that, the Plug-In feels more like a value-added version of the Prius than a model that will be itself iconic or radically new. It's value-added, because owners will have some of the...

Consumer Reports' Top 5 Most Fuel-Efficient SUVs

Many families still prefer to drive kids around in larger, safer vehicles. This often results in the purchase of a sport-utility vehicle (SUV), despite the fact that they get lower fuel economy than a mid or full-size family sedan or an even smaller, gas-electric hybrid vehicle such as the Toyota Prius. If you are set on driving an SUV, are you...

Toyota announces its own social network

Toyota Friend social network

There isn't a Trent Reznor score attached to this story, but Toyota must've finally received The Social Network courtesy of its Netflix queue. The automaker has announced that it's creating a virtual online hangout of its own. Dubbed Toyota Friend, the service will connect Toyota owners with a shared love for the Japanese automaker.

Toyota has teamed up with cloud computing solutions company Salesforce.com. One of the tech firms products is called Salesforce Chatter, which is a private social network designed to allow a specific group to communicate. For the automaker's purposes, Toyota Friend will allow vehicle owners to interact with dealers, the manufacturer and each other. In fact, Toyota Friend will even connect owners to their cars by tapping into the vehicles telematic systems.

Initially, Toyota Friend will roll out to Japanese customers. Specifically those that have purchased 2012 model year electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids.

This partnership involves more than shared technology. Toyota is investing 442 million yen (approximately $5.4 million USD) into the company that oversees the application of the automaker's global cloud computing development, which is called Toyota Media Services. Salesforce is supplying 223 million yen ($2.7 million USD). Additionally, Microsoft has agreed to provide 335 million yen ($4.1 million USD) as part of the recently announced strategic partnership between the computing giant and Toyota. See the full press release after the break.
